Are we there yet? We left the house at 7:50 AM Japan time and took a bus-train-bus to the airport. I had a slight fever and a backache. No other symptoms. Probably the anticipated side-effects of the yellow fever vaccine. Kaori felt fine, as usual. Now, after a 10 hour flight (3:24AM Japan time), my fever has gone down but we both feel a little crappy.

We changed our yen to dollars at Narita. They didn't have Nurvos Soles, but we got some at LAX. We flew through immigration, customs, check-in, and security. Then we split the worst $10 sandwich we've ever eaten. Thanks for representing there, America..
